Learning Journals are an important part of life in Year Four! They should be brought into school daily (in a St Thomas' book bag) and taken home at the end of each day. Home reading should be recorded in Learning Journals and signed by an adult. Learning Journals are checked every Monday morning!.
If your child has earned or lost behaviour points, these will be recorded in the behaviour section of their Learning Journal.
At St Thomas', we value the importance of reading widely and as frequently as possible. For this reason, we ask that children read five times per week: this can be from a school reading book; a book from the school library or a book from home.
We are still part of Times Table Rock Stars which means that we would love your child to continue accessing TT Rock Stars at home. This will support your child's progress and boost their confidence in maths. It will be good practice for the statutory times table test at the end of the year.
Spelling and timestable tests will take place every Friday morning. Spelling sheets will be sent home at the start of every half term (a copy will be uploaded to the 'Home Learning' page).
PE lessons this half term will be on a Friday afternoon and will be Gymnastics. Please ensure your child has their full PE kit in school each week.
