We hope you all had a lovely half term!
Our Geography question this half term is 'Where do I live?' We are going to explore our school grounds and the surrounding locality and look at the human and physical features of it. We will also learn how to draw maps and label features using a key.
Take a look at our curriculum map at the bottom of the page to see what other things we will be learning. You will also find lots of photographs of us too!
Some important notes:
- Our PE lesson will take place on a Thursday afternoon. Please ensure your child has their kit in school with each item clearly labelled.
- Please remind your child to bring their reading pack to school everyday. Reading books will be changed on a Monday and Wednesday. It is vitally important that you read with your child every day as they must be able to understand and recall each text read. Please remember that the same reading book can be read more than once.
- Homework will be set on a Wednesday to be completed for the following Monday, unless creative homework has been set for the term.
- Spelling tests will take place each Friday.
This year we will be preparing the children for the phonics screening check which will take place the week commencing 11th June. We will have daily phonic lessons and our spelling tests will correspond with the sound focus of each week.
